Testing Process

The testing phase was conducted with meticulous planning and careful consideration for the welfare of the park’s deer population. The fireworks included in the testing ranged from Bengal strobes, roman candles, fountains, mines, multishot barrages, to aerial shells, providing comprehensive coverage of potential display options.

Before igniting each firework, the Deer Specialist, equipped with night vision goggles, assessed the situation and gave the approval to proceed. After each firework concluded, a debriefing session was conducted to confirm the deer’s reactions.

Documentation and Reporting

Upon completion of the testing, Dynamic Fireworks compiled a comprehensive report. This report, along with a full risk assessment, site plans, and health & safety documentation, was submitted to the London Borough of Hackney Council. The thorough documentation ensured transparency and compliance with all safety regulations.

Findings:
During testing, it was observed that the deer initially reacted to whistle and crackling effects, but over a longer period of exposure, their sensitivity diminished. This information guided the selection of fireworks for the main display.
